Bio

Michela was born and raised in Torino and spent her summers on her grandmother' olive farm in the remote area of Irpinia, the inland of Naples. Her passion for cooking was gained through the observation and humble repetition of what her mother, Gina, and grandmothers, Rosa and Michela, taught. Coming from a farmers background, she made the natural decision of embracing the statement "we are what we eat."

Friends for decades, Michela and Nathan bring their respective Italian and Northwestern roots together at Pasta Casalinga to create rustic, homestyle, everyday food to feed and create community in the heart of Pike Place Market.

Weathervane Scallop and Wild Prawn

Wrapped with smoked bacon and glazed with a maple syrup butter glaze, with tossed local Duke's-grown butter leaves with teardrop tomatoes, roasted hazelnuts, OMG pears, blue cheese and citrus vinaigrette

Blackened Blue North Caught Cod Tacos

Duke blueberry tortillas, cucumber pico de gallo, house made green salsa, lime aioli, Cotija cheese
