About Me

I am a native of New Hampshire who has lived elsewhere and travels frequently for my profession.

A family man, I am a believer in self reliance, self determination and self responsibility. Too much of our lives are spent as Don Quixote and fighting about the details of things.

I believe in many conservative principles and have many moderate and even liberal views.

I believe in a woman's right to choose but do not want to fund abortions and am against partial birth and late term abortions.

I am against the Real ID as it is a pervasive tool that can be misused by a government that does very little well. If we want to stop terrorism on our shores then we need to profile people to determine those who are real threats.

I neither support or defend the Bush Administration but think that at the time he was the lesser of two evils.

I dislike people who play the race card, victim card or those who cry 'woe is me"

I believe in hard work and pulling yourself up by your bootstraps. Don't try to classify my viewpoints as Democrat or Republican, although, my views generally are closer related to the Republican side.

I call things as I see them and I know that does not make some of the readers happy as I have received threats and nasty letters. If your are a champion of free speech then you believe in diversity of opinion. If my viewpoints bother you and you prefer not to listen and engage in the debate or discussion, then it speaks to your shallowness. In that case the solution is simple..... do not read the blog.

Those who have known me from the past do not have me figured out nor do they really know me today. If you do not care for what I have to say...OH WELL!!! A lot has happened in 30 years. Hopefully you have grown and broadened your horizons and are more sophisticated in your understanding of people. If not, that is your problem.

Overall I listen to others, am respectful and am pretty easy going. I write here about things of which I am passionate and I love to write. Now let's have some enlightened conversation about many topics and the issues of the day!

We may not agree on everything or maybe not on anything but intelligent discourse is healthy!
