I've been a Concord resident on and off since 1979. Currently I live in downtown Concord at the Endicott Hotel. I do as much writing as I can for two [Blogger] blogs "Inside Tom's Brain" and a brand new one "The Endicott Dispatch". I'm a Navy veteran, a news junkie, and I find that writing about issues helps lower my blood pressure. I'm also the proud son of the late Rev. Robert Daggett, former pastor in Hopkinton and veteran of D-Day and the Battle of the Bulge.
I'm an ex-Garden Stater (Exit 9 in case you were wondering) who moved to New Hampshire in 1984. I've long been interested in government, both on the state and federal levels. My politics are quite liberal (and by using that term instead of the current 'progressive' I am dating myself).
I try to abide by a few motto's: "live and let live", "the golden rule". And I'am puzzled by "live free, or die" - I'm not sure what to do with that, do I move or kill my self?
I'm a resident of Concord - born and raised. I'm employed by the NH Office of Energy and Planning, where I'm responsible for population estimates and projections. Also I spend a lot of time distributing and explaining US Census data to the public.
Why Mr Talkabout? Mr Talkabout is a name that I chose because to me it is not who you are but what you have to say that is important. Like Dear Abby it is the expression of ideas that stimulate and help others to stop and think - will this change me or make things different. Talkabout will focus on life problems and challenges from a male perspective. A voice from the common man with limited education but who is passionate and caring about life.
Born, raised educated loong ago in NYC: retired; opinionated but learning. Growing more radical as I age.
I'm 37 years old, born and raised in Concord. My life is crazy and chaotic in that average American family kind of way. The cast of characters in my life:my three teenagers, a new baby girl, a gorgeous one year old grandson, a much younger fiance and a step-daughter-to-be. Not to mention a great family and some of the world's best friends. I feel like I am still in search of myself as an adult, still struggling to learn about, love and accept my life.
