but the question begs, will

but the question begs, will you be the one wearing the streamlined spandex cycling outfit? :D

btw, I lived in Montreal for 4 years and I grew up in another smaller but still big (at least by NH standards) city, Winnipeg, so I know how crazy Montreal drivers are and those New England turkeys are definitely no match for a Montreal cab driver.

and just so you know, I'll be the gal swiveled around in my seat to yell at my two boys in the back seat to kindly stop beating each other, drinking coffee out of my Patriots mug, laughing, crying and swerving(in that order) as I listen to the Morning Buzz on Rock 101, and a Patriots sticker proudly displayed in my rear window, but no support our troops magnet anymore since my S.O. so kindly stole it from me...I let him, he's a veteran, or so he says.

You won't be able to miss him...he's got a big truck, probably pulling a big boat, bumper stickers that proudly proclaim his love of fishing, hunting and the Patriots and my stolen magnet. Either Eric Clapton or Stevie Ray will be blaring from the speakers and he'll be howling along with them. Or, now that I think of it, he sounds like the majority of the drivers on New Hampshire byways, at least the ones north of Concord anyway...

Happy motoring!

My mailbox

Joe, I think about wood and paper resources a lot these days, especially lately. Every time I open my mailbox it's filled with advertising circulars, and lately fliers from the presidential candidates are coming daily. I'm hoping that they're at least using recycled paper (I have to admit I haven't thought until now to check and see if they're labeled as using recycled paper or at least a percentage).

It's good to hear about responsible businesses like Home grown lumber that make the most of the precious resources available. The timber industry needs to do more of this, and when they do it should be reported and praised. Much of the news coverage of the industry is negative, and rightfully so. The destructive practices obviously get the most coverage, but those who engage in responsible and innovative use of our timber resources should get equal coverage and recognition. Thanks for bringing this company to our attention.

For beautiful skin try this

This writer doesn't have a lot of time (or patience) to putz around with complicated skincare regimens, so someone I know whipped up a quickie face scrub I could use in the shower whenever my complexion started looking wan and lifeless.

A natural antiseptic, honey heals and hydrates, while inhibiting infection and reducing inflammation. Meanwhile, sugar helps to open pores and slough off dead skin cells, even as it stimulates circulation and improves skin clarity.

No Time to Lose Honey-Sugar Face Scrub
Makes 1 portion

1 tbs organic, unprocessed honey
1 tbs organic fair trade sugar

1. Combine the ingredients in a bowl.

2. Massage the scrub gently onto clean skin for a minute or so. Leave on for however long it takes to wash your hair and soap off.

3. Rinse well with warm water.

Nice to have you here. I am looking forward to all of the beauty you have to show us through your lens and narrations. New Hampshire is indeed a place where Nature is alive and well!

I'd like to share my favorite picture with you (I took this in my backyard in Andover two years ago).

You enjoyed Cirque De Soleil...Why?...Oh because you love our friends the French...they are so "enlightened too"

Gas hog, not the way we drive it and retrofitted for bio desiel..gotch ya! SELFISH is like BIGOT, over used an an emotionally charged buzzword of the Left. A replacement for words like self reliance, self determination, take responsibility for yourself and hard work! If the Left had their way, it would be removed from the dictionary or would read: "see entitlement".

People losing their homes at this time is not economics, it is due to lending practices...I like it no better than you do.

OK, the gloves are off...DISNEY...people have to go somewhere to escape the dark world picture and doom an glloom that the Left constantly paints/

As always, thanks for blogging but I have had enough of this string and we can agree to disagree. I bet you are not a bad guy; let me know when you want that lunch...I am not selfish...I choose to share and will buy! LOL

That’s because your head is in the sand.

OWN SUV, a Honda Pilot (5 years old with 50,000 miles)..so what?

So you own one of those gas hogs causing the earth to heat up. Really selfish man.

and no...not even close to $200,000 but who are Democrats to decide how much is enough for one person to make? Who is anyone to do so? You want to stifle incentive to better ones self or produce jobs or stimulate the economy. Class envy..that is all Hillary and the Dems have.

Trickle down economics, aka, voodoo economics, has failed the US economy. Just look at the millions losing their homes. Compare your gross income in 1990 and 2006 and see how well you’re doing, or are you keeping up with just the inflation and devaluation of the dollar? http://www.halfhill.com/inflation.html

And you have nothing I envy…I think you are exaggerating. PS. I hated Disney World. It was just a big money making rip-off for Disney Corp. The only thing I enjoyed was cirque du soleil.

War is messy, people die...it is a fact of war. How would you suggest that we stop despots from torturing and killing their citizens and wreaking havoc over the rest of the world. I know...let's give them a HUG...you go first! I earned my glass.

This war was unnecessary, it was evil and immoral. War for OIL. So many have given their lives in vain. Why should the US be the world’s policemen? We need to take care of our country first…you know America First? Our foreign policy has over the last 50 years supported many depots and dictators. In fact, I do well remember the friendly visits by Reagan appointees to Baghdad and shaking hands with Saddam, while we provided him with WMD which he in turned used on the Iranians, and then his own people. Who was president at the time? Oh yeah, Reagan.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the repukes would start impeachment proceedings immediately against any democratic president. They are the party of mean-spirited, authoritarian-minded fascists (this is not name calling).

If you are one of those making over 200k a year, I don’t feel sorry for you. If you are not one of those people, then no one is going to try and take what you’ve earned. BTW, how many SUVs do you have sitting in your driveway?

Be grateful we don’t live in SOCA.

There You Go Again!

Well Michael, I share what I have but I worked hard and sacrificed many things to be able to afford a house and the few conveniences of life that I have. There is no replacement for self reliance and self determination. I have empathy for those who are upset because they made different choices and now find themselves with less than others and I feel sympathy for those who have not had breaks in life. I do not however feel in any way that I need to give up what I have worked hard to build and give it to someone who perhaps was not trying to better themselves. Life isn't fair...your economic model would take those who have worked hard and make them equal economically to everyone. That is not I've go mine. NO, I have inherited nothing.

There you go again name calling...I thought that we already agreed that your emotion should stop getting in the way of your intelligence.

War is messy, people die...it is a fact of war. How would you suggest that we stop despots from torturing and killing their citizens and wreaking havoc over the rest of the world. I know...let's give them a HUG...you go first! I earned my glass.

I did like your Hillary stats though> So what is your conclusion?

The online survey of 9,718 likely voters nationwide showed that 50% said Clinton would never get their presidential vote. This is up from 46% who said they could never vote for Clinton in a Zogby International telephone survey conducted in early March. Older voters are most resistant to Clinton -- 59% of those age 65 and older said they would never vote for the New York senator, but she is much more acceptable to younger voters: 42% of those age 18-29 said they would never vote for Clinton for President.

Get out of the sixties...MAAAANNNN!

If I wanted my neighbor in my home I would invite him. What is mine is mine and what is his is his. I share what I choose and with whom.

An elitist point of view. I’ve got mine, screw you.

I am charitable but common ownership discourages innovation, motivation to excel and if we lived in a commune we'd be overweight hippies between getting high and laying around or would be enslaved and dirt poor with the rulers (like in the old Soviet Block nations living high off of the hog). I have friends from Russia and I hear the horror stories about lack of any health care for anyone and no meats available and living on grains...you want to go back to that, here?

Blackwater...I don't like mercenary armies and do not think it is a good idea to use services like this.

Where is the draft? Where is the sacrifice of the righwing fascists? Not one of the neocons in charge ever experienced war. Bush was AWOL, and Cheney “had more important things to do,” like impregnating his girlfriend.

With that said, the argument has been made that 'innocent' civilians are being slaughtered. How do we know this? In a war you can't delineate between the population and their leaders. It is a shame if innocents die but you can't fight wars without collateral damage. Wars are not between leaders, they are between nations.

I’m glad you can be so cavalier about the deaths of thousands. Says a lot about the elitist view again.

Blackwater.....Whitewater......Sandy Berger.......Iran Contra.....Oil For Food.......Aggravating the Turks with resolutions for political gain......ABSCAM...that is why we need term limits (and we need to get out of the impotent United Nations).

Another rightwinger talking point. If it is impotent, then do something about it.

I view my glass as half full but it IS my glass!

Did you earn it? Or was it given to you?
