It seems like Americans are supporting for the bold position the Grand Canyon State has taken as the legal action against Arizona immigration law SB 1070 goes on. CBS News and Rasmussen report the support of SB 1070 is 57 and 65 percent of Americans while The New York Daily News reports CNN giving a 55 percent rate of support.

With SB 1070, state officials are more capable of finding illegal immigrants, although they can't send these immigrants out of the country. Attorney General Eric Holder has not signed the papers he needs to, to make sure that happened.

We can not hide any thing from media because it will eventually come out.Just imagine if your personal life is known by other people,even the smallest thing that is happening to you is being spread out,could you still live this kind of life? In today's day and age of the media having each and every personal detail of everyone's life, it is not wise to threaten someone by releasing photos. The more we hear of these threats the more those being threatened don't give in and fight back. Allison Cross was trying to extort hundreds of thousands of dollars from John Stamos by threatening to release some photos of him at a 2004 party that are very private. You know, if you were going to extort someone, don't wait six years, by then he has likely already reveled any indiscriminate activities to anyone who would matter. Besides, as we have seen with many other stars, bad press is good press; and anything that might be bad in these photos is more likely for making him money and keep him from going to personal loan companies.

$20 Billion dollars is what BP is placing in an escrow fund and they want 3.5 years to fully fund that escrow. It is almost as if no one in the Obama administration or Congress recognizes the extent of the damage that is being done, or the cost of the cleanup when (and if) they can stop the flow of oil from the Gulf floor. Before this is all done, that $20 Billion could seem rather paltry in comparison to what we actually end-up spending. Once again, it will probably be the American taxpayer that ends-up footing the bill because our leaders cannot bring themselves to properly analyze, prioritize, and use common sense and good judgment. President Obama says he will see that the Gulf area is better than it was before this latest catastrophe. If that is true, $200 Billion probably won't be nearly enough. Let start itemizing just what we know:1. The cost of the cleanup (men and equipment) for the coastal areas of four states (Texas, Louisiana, Alabama, and Florida)2. The cost of the coastguard (men and equipment)3. All the photo-op trips for the President and Congressmen4. Replacement or cleaning of the sandy beaches for Texas, Louisiana, Alabama, and Florida so far and yet to come.5. Damages to the water, fish, and wildlife (virtually, the entire food chain) in four states (Texas, Louisiana, Alabama, and Florida)6. Damages to Caribbean Islands7. Compensation to those whose livelihood this has destroyed (tour boat operators, hotels, motels, fishermen, shrimpers, sports fishing guides, marina owners and operators, souvenir shops, restaurants, etc.)8. Devaluation of homes in the coastal area in four states (Texas, Louisiana, Alabama, and Florida)9. Compensation for illness caused as a direct or indirect result of this catastrophe in four states (Texas, Louisiana, Alabama, and Florida)10. Potential damage to other countries and continents (Mexico and the east coast of South America).We have all seen cost estimates in excess of $200 Billion from several reliable sources but the problem is that no one can give an accurate estimate until the hole 5,000 feet below the surface of the gulf is completely plugged.These are just what I can think of off the top of my head so before jumping into setting any limit on damages that BP is liable for, I would say:Put the $20 Billion cash in escrow up-front and right now and another $200 Billion in reserve for what we know is coming and then issue a guarantee that whatever else may be required over the next 100 years will be paid for with a guarantee of company stock to be sold in order to meet all obligations within 90 days of reporting damages. Why do I say 100 years? Because it could possibly be many decades into the future before we find out the full extent of the damage done to health and ground water by this catastrophe.Think about it . . . this fiasco could easily end-up costing the U.S. taxpayer far more than Obamacare, Cap and Trade, Cash for Clunkers, Bank Bailouts, Automotive Company Bailouts, TARP, and Stimulus all together. Do not believe the government estimates for this because they are probably not any more accurate that the estimates were for Obamacare or Bank Bailouts. One big problem is that there is no way to measure the cost of the loss of the intangibles (like dream retirements to the Gulf, dream homes at the Gulf, planning to have your children grow-up in a reasonably pristine area, etc.).So, if you ask me if enough is being done or if the response from the administration and congress was sufficient, my answer would have to be a resounding no. There was insufficient analysis of the situation and potential problems, failure to properly prioritize issues, and insufficient common sense and good judgment used. This is beginning to make the response to Hurricane Katrina look good and that is truly shameful . . . but, that is just my opinion!
