Sneaky Agenda...This is what is wrong with Congress
Submitted by Bill Bunker on August 5, 2008 - 21:38. Barnstead | PoliticsBelow is a very interesting piece that I picked up on line. In parentheses are my comments. It illustrates what is wrong with Congress and how some people are just not picking up on what is really going on:
Hodes Exposed
Submitted by Bill Bunker on June 30, 2008 - 19:51. Barnstead | PoliticsHodes Exposed
The public persona of Paul Hodes is what we see on television, in the press and of course, in his franking activities. What independent voters and Republicans do not always see are the messages going to Democratic party loyalists. In reality, Hodes plays into the MoveOn.org mentality of conspiracy and innuendo.
45 Minutes
Submitted by Bill Bunker on April 18, 2008 - 21:55. Barnstead | Politics“It took 45 minutes before we started talking about the issues” whined Barack Obama but what he meant to say is “It took 45 minutes before I could sell my message and assume the role of the ‘anointed one’”.
An Accurate Summary
Submitted by Bill Bunker on April 3, 2008 - 10:37. Barnstead | PoliticsI came across an interesting site on the internet that sums up the divide in this country between the Right and the Left. It adds perspective to the debate on the direction and belief of both sides of the debate. For me, reading this struck a note of "exactly" as it will for conservatives and progressives alike. The source of this is studentnewsdaily.com. They describe their organization as follows:
Throw Momma (GRANDMA) From The Train

Barnstead | Politics“Words do count”, is one of the trademarks of the Obama campaign; except when the anointed pied piper of the Left decides that they don’t. In an interview on Saturday, Barack Obama stated that he was not present when his mentor, Reverend Jeremiah Wright spewed some of the most divisive, hate filled rhetoric spoken by any public servant in recent history.
The Democratic Presidential Race and the GLBT Factor
Submitted by Justin Drake on March 11, 2008 - 23:59. Greater Concord | PoliticsWith the Republican presidential nomination locked up for Sen. John McCain, all eyes are now on the Democrats. Both Sen. Clinton and Sen. Obama scored some significant wins over the past week, but with the Pennsylvania nearly six weeks away, it gives us a little time to ponder some of the more minute details of the election thus far. There have certainly been some interesting trends in terms of what voting blocs have supported which candidate and in what states. One thing that I've been wondering about for a while, however, is how the GLBT vote has been swinging on the Democratic side?
Time For "CHANGE" In Barnstead!
Submitted by Bill Bunker on March 7, 2008 - 00:46. Barnstead | PoliticsCouch, Fitzpatrick Deserve “The Boot”
It is time for CHANGE in Barnstead. The Barnstead School Board, in their sly attempt to ram a new $18,000, 000 school expansion down the throats of taxpayers with an attitude of “Grin and Bear It, People”, needs to receive a well deserved response from the voters of Barnstead.
TO THE VOTERS OF BARNSTEAD
Submitted by Bill Bunker on March 2, 2008 - 01:54. Barnstead | PoliticsWARRANT ARTICLE FOR SCHOOL EXPANSION
I would never argue that the primary responsibility we have to our children and community in Barnstead is to provide a safe, quality education for our children. I am not only a champion of quality education but I also believe that the future of our children, our town and our country depends on our actions today.
Super Tuesday, Part Deux
Submitted by Susan Sherrouse on February 20, 2008 - 16:15. Greater Concord | PoliticsI've gotten calls from friends and family from all over the US wanting to know the 'temperment' of the Texas voters, and who I believe might come out ahead in the Democratic Primary. That, like a lot of things in life, is very much up in the air.
Thoughts on Obama-mania and the Youth Vote
Submitted by Justin Drake on February 12, 2008 - 03:04. Greater Concord | PoliticsI have to admit that I’ve been pretty much glued to the presidential primary race over the past few weeks, watching all of the results come in live and reading the latest snippets of information about the campaigns. There have been a lot of ups and downs for the candidates, and some game-changing withdrawals from the race recently. There have also been a great deal of surprises that have shaken up contests that once seemed fairly static.
