Springfield Dazzles Again

|

Conant's Brooke Springfield has the uncanny ability to take over a game.

And did she ever do so on Wednesday.

Facing the last undefeated team in Class M, Campbell, Springfield scored a career high 34 points in a 55-43 win.

Even with two or three Cougars drapped all over her, Springfield still found a way to jump start the Orioles' offense, which had been struggling as of late.

The junior captain scored nine in the first, including a buzzer beating three, and added another 10 in the second.

She scored five in the third, also including a deep three at the buzzer, and helped finish off the game with 10 in the fourth, all from the free throw line.

Springfield was 18-for-19 from the charity stripe for the game. She also added seven rebounds, three assists and three steals.

It was fun to watch the Cougars try and stop the player I believe is hands down the best one in Class M and definitely in the discussion for across the state.

Now we must wait and see what she does for an encore.

Signing off.
