With the season halfway done, the Conant girls basketball team will play in one of its most important games tonight.
The Orioles stand at 8-1 and in sole possession of third place in the Class M standings.
But that one loss can be avenged tonight when the Orioles travel to Hillsboro-Deering.
Since winning the Class M title in 2007-08, Conant has lost a total of five games and three have been to the Hillcats.
The Orioles lost both meetings last year and the only one so far this season, a 36-33 decision on Jan. 8 at Pratt Auditorium.
The rivalry is growing and tonight should prove to be another exciting match-up.
Game time is at 7 p.m.
