Today we celebrate...

It matters little whether it is Kate Smith, Ray Charles or a crowd attending a sporting event, when they lift their voices to sing America the Beautiful, we can't help but get a little misty. From the best singers to the worst, when any voice reaches up to hit those high notes in the Star Spangled Banner, we all cheer! This is our home, a land so beautiful and full of promise that it causes people all through out its vast expanse to give all to protect it and keep it safe from harm.Today and every day we honor those people!

We are multiple colors, religions, ethnic backgrounds, and orientations yet the colors we all rally around are more important than all of these things. We fight about where she will sail, and who will be her Captain every few years ,but we are united in our purpose...to live simply, freely, and without interference. To raise our families in peace and to pass on a legacy of freedom and prosperity to each succeeding generation. Today we celebrate the ties  that bind and put aside those which divides us.

This evening the sky will be filled with beautiful lights. A beautiful artistic rendering that serves as a metaphor for our country...all those beautiful colors working together to make something amazing!
