UNH 48, URI 30 13:26 fourth

|

Boyle makes a catch in traffic, breaks a couple tackles and scores to finish a 5-play, 40-yard drive that took 2:22. Nice throw from Toman.

I guess the offense doesn't miss that Ricky guy. It really has looked like the same kind of attack that UNH used the last four years to propel itself into the I-AA elite. The URI defenders haven't been allowing the receivers run as free as they were early in the game, but there always seems to be someone open, some play to be made out there in this UNH spread assault. Props to Toman and offensive coordinator Sean Devine for smart decisions all day long. The two turnovers were the fault of perhaps the two most talented offensive players - Boyle and Sicko - and while those mistakes need to be corrected, the positives for Boyle and Sicko far outweighed the negatives.
