Practice? Did you say practice?

|

The Sprint Cup series is on the grid for its second to last practice before tomorrow's Lenox Industrial Tools 301. First time pole-sitter Patrick Carpentier is currently 39th fastest around the "Magic Mile" while Juan Pablo Montoya, who will start 32nd tomorrow is running the quickest lap times at 126.829 MPH. Montoya was one of the top three quickest around the grid during yesterday's practice as well, but struggled in open air during qualifying.

Others running quick times around the oval, following Montoya, include Reed Sorenson (qualified sixth), Kyle Busch (27th), Jeff Gordon (19th), Kevin Harvick (third), Robby Gordon (22nd), Martin Truex Jr. (eighth), Clint Bowyer (18th), Jeff Burton (31st), and Jimmie Johnson (23rd).

Practice is usually a good indication of how the cars will run during the actual race. So based on these results, it's going to make for a wild race tomorrow, considering where the aforementioned drivers are starting in the field. New Hampshire Motor Speedway isn't exactly known for its exciting passes, but tomorrow could be the exception to rule.
