Nationwide Qualifying

|

There are 11 Sprint Cup regulars pulling double-duty this weekend, starting with this afternoon's Nationwide race, the Camping World RV Sales 200. But it isn't going to be a Sprint Cup stalwart starting at the head of the field. That honor is held by 18-year-old Landon Cassill, whose best finish in 14 career Nationwide races is a ninth-place finish in Nashville on June 7.

Cassill, who is racing at Loudon for the first time in his career, qualified with a time of 29.803, a full .125 seconds ahead of Clint Bowyer, who will start on the outside of row 1.

Cassill's been on a role of late, qualifying eighth or better in five straight races, but has had trouble finding the groove come race time, notching finishes of 25th (Dover), ninth (Nashville), 11th (Kentucky) and 22nd (Milwaukee).

Greg Biffle, Kyle Busch, Kevin Harvick, Jason Keller, Mike Bliss, Tony Stewart, Brad Keselowski and Dario Franchitti round out the top-10 qualifiers.

This year's Nationwide

This year's Nationwide Qualifying blog isn't nearly as good as the one from two years ago.
