Nationwide practice

|

The first Nationwide practice is in the books, and a face familiar to success at New Hampshire is at the top of the speed chart.

Turning a fast lap of 29.611 seconds, and becoming the only driver to top 128 mph for the length of his lap, Clint Bowyer was the fastest car in the morning session. Scott Speed was next, followed Elliott Sadler, Kevin Harvick, Kenny Wallace and Joey Logano. Carl Edwards was seventh, with the man he's chasing for the points lead, Kyle Busch, ranking 12th.

The Nationwide cars will practice again this afternoon, before qualifying for and racing the Camping World RV Sales 200 presented by RVs.com tomorrow. (Unconfirmed were reports that Bowyer could've finished his lap faster than it takes to say the name of the event.)

Cup cars are on course now for the first time. And we're still pretty warm and sunny here at the speedway.
