Hockey Up Close

Bow | Concord and around

Hockey is one of my favorite sports to photograph. I also find it very challenging to shoot from ice level. So, for the entire season up to this point I've mostly photographed hockey from a high position.
In NHL arenas holes are cut in the glass at the corners of the rink. It makes it easier to shoot because you don't have to worry about reflections and dirty glass. In most local arenas it is nearly impossible to shoot from ice level, however, last week at Saint Anselm College the glass was clean enough to shoot from the ice.
