Lots of Snow - Lots to do

With record snowfall here in NH now is the time to get out and explore those areas that can only be reached during such remarkable weather. A few weeks ago I made a few inquires to friends seeing if they would be interested in skiing across the Pemigewasset Wilderness. It turned out that each of them have harbored that same idea in the back of their minds( I've got weird friends). So at 4:30AM we headed up to Zealand Campground, strapped on our cross country skis and started up and through Zealand Notch. After sliding past Thoreau Falls and meandering through the woods, finally making it out to the Wilderness Trail and its 2.5 miles of groomed trails we reached the parking lot. Nine and a half hours later. So if you're in the mood for exploring the White Mountains without any cars, dogs, hikers, snowmobiles or anything else for that matter, head up into Lincoln Woods and explore some of the wilderness this state has to offer.
