An apology and a thank you

|

Let me begin this blog by apologizing to those people who read it. I have been quite lax in my responsibilities lately with regards to writing the blog. Being a stay at home dad with my daughter is a lot more time intensive than I thought it would be. Everyday she is doing something new and different, she is becoming her own little person and I don't want to miss any of it. I also have college to contend with and it is stealing blog time as I am taking one class too many.
Now, without further delay, the thank you. If you remember about three weeks ago I wrote a blog about being embarrassed by the condition of the United States and New Hampshire flags at the Hopkinton library. Now I am not sure that anyone reads this blog and I am certainly not egocentric enough to think that anything I write has an effect on what other people do. However, my daughter, my dog and I went for a walk at the Hopkinton library yesterday and I was very pleased to see two beautiful, brand new flags flying proudly in the breeze. If the person responsible for getting the new flags for the library is reading this, thank you.
Stay tuned over the next couple of days as there are a few new blogs coming. I feel like there are lots of new things to share and I really hope that I will be back on the writing path soon. My daughter just took her first trip to Long Island and each day of that trip could be a separate blog entry. Last night my daughter discovered that she can roll over in her bed. Each time she did it she woke my wife and I with her glees of joy and laughter. It's hard to smile at 12:30am, 2:45am and then again at 3:59am but we all did it last night. Those are just a few of things that my daughter and I have done over the past few weeks. It is an exciting time for me and I am really looking forward to sharing it with you.

Welcome Back!

I've missed your blogs---getting me to think about little kids again...
where on Long Island?

I guess some would consider it a good thing that I have not been writing the blog. I didn't look at it from that perspective, foster, thanks for pointing it out.

Sarah,

Thanks for saying you missed the blogs. My family is mostly in Plainview and Seaford, NY. Sometimes when I go back I miss it other times I really do not miss it. This trip made me miss it because I want my daughter to be exposed to her family as much as is possible. Everything will work out as best it can I guess.

I don't think that's what

I don't think that's what Foster meant. (Though I'm sure he'll correct me if I'm wrong). I think it was likely more coming from the fact that one of the most annoying things that bloggers do is apologize for a lapse in blogging. There's no need to apologize for living life for a week or two. Explaining your absence is great, saying that you're sorry for it? No apology necessary.
