Note Here, Note There

|

A few quick items.

-- The "From the Blogs" feature continues in the Monitor. I will be selecting bits from posts and comments to appear in our print edition. One showed up in today's editorial pages. Be warned!

-- Late last year, we removed text verification from comments. That means anyone can leave a comment (as long as they register) without problems. However, that also increases the risk of spam. I just deleted a string of junk posts. If you see them, let me know, and I'll ax them.

-- We need entries from folks who are not Bill, Terri, TR, Tracy, Justin or Ken. I appreciate their work, but they can't do it alone. Other bloggers here should speak up too.

-- Keep watching the Monitor online. Something new is in the works.

Caught me!

I arrived at work today to hear "oh I read your piece in the Monitor about Obama".  I was completely caught off gaurd.  I knew you were printing some stuff since you already printed part of my Patriots post, but I was not expecting my comments on Justin's blog to be printed as well. Thanks for the reconition, and my apologies that it has been so long between posts, but I seem to have hit that malady of all writers at one point or another in thier lives...writer's block.  Hope to bust through soon.

Terri: Thanks for the note.

Terri: Thanks for the note. Whenever we've printed blurbs from the blogs before, I've used posts as the source. But in the last few months (and occasionally before that) we've had comment threads that have included a lot of interesting writing. Folks at the Monitor agreed it would be a good idea to sample them, and I agreed.

Writing

Clay;

Thanks for removing the text verification.  I think that was one of the big things which has held me up in posting, as it would continually come back and deny me the ability to post.

Just give me a head's up if any of my writing is in the paper...I'll want a copy of that!

Thanks,

Susan
