Notes: David Wells looked sharp throwing a simulated game this morning..He threw all his pitches against Sox players Wily Mo Pena, and Alex Cora, and didn't appear to show any signs of pain..Talked to Doug Mientkiewicz before the game and he despite all the hoopla surrounding the infamous World Series baseball and negative feelings between him and the Sox front office he'd welcome a trade back to Boston...The Yankees won last night on a walk-off HR by Melky Cabrera in the bottom of the 11th inning so things remain the same in the AL East with the Yanks trailing by only a half game, they too play a day game.
