Not home yet...
Mother Nature wreaked some havoc...
I'm writing from the computer station in a hotel lobby in a Radisson just outside of New Orleans. Both of our flights (one from NO to DC, then DC to Manchester) got cancelled.
Overall the trip has been a good experience, there is a lot for me to write about, but this is not the time or place to write about it all.
It was honestly a frustrating day, though, because we were trying to get 15 people home to New Hampshire, and we weren't sure what was going to happen. It was a shock, which led to a few of us breaking into tears a few times, and it was a long time waiting to see what was going on, but the good thing is that we will miss the majority of this storm, at the very least. As of right now, I will be spending my birthday in warm New Orleans with a few friends and a few people I happen to be spending time with... as our new flight plans call for us to arrive around 7:30pm Tuesday (and my birthday is Monday). Ultimately, the best thing would be to get home by Monday night, but we can't control what happens, and that's okay.
I'm rambling, I'm going to shut up and go up to bed now.... More updates to come, I'm sure, especially when I'm back!
