Dog & Pony Show
Dog & Pony Show
Today was the big day for Democrats, gathering in Unity was a crowd of enthusiastic supporters; most appearing to be a cross between back woods farmers and Ben & Jerry. Seriously though, it had to be a thrill for Granite state Dems as their nominee and heroes stood in “UNITY” to back the presumptive nominee.
My wife came up with a great analysis of Hillary which was right on the mark and I really had to agree. Hillary, in the closing weeks of the campaign was starting to connect, seemed more human and almost believably sincere. It was a softer and more real Hillary as opposed to the stiff, abrupt persona that pundits, the press and most of the electorate came to know. We both found ourselves thinking; maybe she wouldn’t be so bad after all???? Of course we would never have voted for her but we gained a lot of respect for her in the waning days of the primary campaign. We also think that the DNC gave her a raw deal in their quest to elect the first black President.
Today, it was back to the old Hillary. Not only did she not seem sincere but if a voter or in particular, a woman, fell for any of the pomp and circumstance, the thick plot of this staged event, it is a sad day of the United States, women and citizens. If anyone fell for this “Dog & Pony Show” they are either strict ideologues or they are not very intelligent.
Obama, in return for these niceties has agreed to work towards paying off Clinton’s campaign debt. It seems to me that there should be some campaign finance law against one politician bribing another to support them. We talk about hard money and soft money, PACS……what is the difference?
If one corporation swallows another’s debts for financial gain, Democrats always have issues with that…then why not this unprecedented payoff…..sounds like bribery to me.
Of course, all of the usual suspects were there including Paul “Franking” Hodes, Jeanne “My husband tried to deep six you Barack” Shaheen, and Carol Shea-Porter.
Yes Carol, I am still waiting for a response to my letter. I promise I won’t hold my breath. Please don’t forget what I mentioned in it…..you represent all of the people of our district not just those who agree with you.
So there you have it…..Hillary backs Obama……was it sincere?
We switched between all of the channels as we watched, so as not to be tainted by any network, but in the end, it was just a well orchestrated ‘Dog & Pony’ show. I can't say that I would blame Hillary as she really got the short end of the stick from Howard Dean and the Move On extreme Leftists who have hijacked the Democratic party.
Let’s hope that the saying: “you can fool some of the people some of the time but not a majority of the people most of the time” applies to Democrats. Unfortunately, I am afraid that ideology trumps reality and reason when it comes to those of that political stripe.
Time will tell!
