We both dreaded what it might take to put an affair together. We did agree from the start that it made no sense to go into debt over our nuptials.
Isn't It Romantic...

In fact, we went through a period when neither of us even brought up the subject. Then there was a period when we talked about having kids, but didn’t say aloud that it would be logical to actually get married first. Finally, we got to the point where we couldn’t deny we were getting old (David is in his 40s and I’m in my 30s ), and we really should do something about it.

The irony of it was I didn’t really practice any form of Christianity and to be honest, I never really felt Catholic.
